German Spring Offensive

The German Army mounted the Spring Offensive from 21st March to 18th July 1918, which resulted in the deepest advances by either side during the war. The Germans had realised that the only chance left for victory was to defeat the allies before the USA entered the war.

During the offensive four men on the War Memorial died, three of them in the first week.
