Stanley House School Magazine

The Venture

Volume 1. No 1. of The Venture was edited by a young man by the name of Geoffrey Kean.  It is dated Christmas Term 1935 and comprises stories, poems, competitions, riddles and information on the school’s library and house teams. One piece of information contained within the magazine in the section, School Notes, states “This is our first term in the completed school building and we all like it very much. The building is a great improvement on the old premises”. The new building can be seen in the postcard photos.

Volume 1. No 2. of The Venture was edited by John Nelson. In this issue there is a rather nice message from Miss Steggles congratulating the Editor and contributors on their efforts in producing the school magazine.
