My Childhood Memories

This is a photo from where I lived on London Road in a little four room bungalow, that had so many memories. It’s actually a picture of a rainbow, this is looking southeast, opposite is Channey’s nursery and his house. Next door but one is a big old house where Mr Moss used to live, we used to think it was haunted. We used to play at 40 acres, which is now a church and graveyard, at the end of Manor Road or on fields at the end of New Park Road where now there is Appleton school. You can see in the picture where our garden used to go up to the road but when they widened it we had steps to get to it, my poor dad had to get his bike up the steps every day to ride to work at Shellhaven. Love looking at these pages because I now live in Canada, so keep up the good work.
