Thundersley Methodist Church, Kennington Avenue

A Party in 1950 and a Coach Outing in 1952

These two press cuttings show outings by The Thundersley Methodist Church and were provided by Janice Jiggens, who, as a child, lived in the flat above Glanfields Factory which stood fronting the London Road, between Lambeth Road and Kennington Avenue.

  • I have no knowledge of the outing but I do recall there was at some time a library run in the same hall? Run by a Mrs. Brelisford of Daws Heath, her son Hugh and I were quite good pals until working age.
